What is SEO and Why do I Need it?

Consumers expect to find information at the touch of a button or the click of a mouse these days.  Often, search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing are the first place they look, so it's easy to imagine the value of a first page search results listing to your business.

The basis of all SEO is to make sure that your website features the keywords that your potential audience might be searching for, so that search engines know that your site contains just what their searchers are after.  

Captovate can work with you to determine the key words that your customers are likely to search for you under, and we’ll strategically place these words in both your website's  content and code (using meta tags), in places where search engines will be scanning for them.  

Search engines also base their rankings on how popular your site is (judged by how many links and traffic you have coming into your site), because this shows that you are a credible player in whatever industry or locality you're in.  

While Captovate doesn't manufacture links and traffic websites for SEO (it's not really fair and can get you penalised if the search engines catch on), we do work closely with you to determine a strategy that will effectively develop your credibility by attracting real links and real traffic to your site.
