104.1 Territory FM Website
Purpose
The website’s purpose is to engage radio listeners and turn them into a web audience by value adding to the media content of the radio station. The website also promotes and informs listeners about the content and programming of the station and allows them to get in touch more easily.
Objectives
The site was required to provide regular content updates and promos (both for radio content and sponsored events and causes), to provide live information and content to listeners and potential listeners (now playing, live streaming), and to enable live interaction between listeners and the station (Request a song, Ask Daryl).
Special Features
The Territory FM site is packed with features to encourage user engagement. These include:

- Poll of the week
- Integrated Flickr photo stream
- Twitter and Facebook integration
- The fully editable dynamic slider, along with all the editable content spots on the home page have been set up to enable the Territory FM staff to have full control of their content without needing to be tech savvy at all.
Technical Features
The site was developed in a fully customised Drupal implementation, incorporating over 30 additional modules.
We hooked up various systems to extract data from external platforms for the live and interactive functionality on the site such as 'On Air Now' (using FTP, jQuery and Ajax) and 'Listen Live' (live streaming).
The site is hosted on a Virtual Private Server (VPS) for improved bandwidth, space and security.
